I have spent the last twenty five years teaching art in schools up to A level. I initially studied Fine Art under Stass Paraskos at the Cyprus College of Art.  This was the true starting point for my compulsion to paint.  Initially the urban landscape was my focus; looking at empty street scenes paired back to shapes, light and colour. 

 

Recently I have become intrigued by painting caravans. These self contained compact dwellings magnify the impression of solitude. They convey ideas of nostalgia and abandonment. Every caravan has its own story to tell.
